Terms of Service

Welcome to Glide. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Glide mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Glide. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Glide with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date. Please notify us promptly at lumyn.glitchreport@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Content

Glide lets you share content such as session logs, photos, videos, comments, and profile information ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting User Content to Glide, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
• Use the Service to send spam, harvest user data, or otherwise interfere with other users' experience.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any servers, networks, or systems connected to the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where permitted by law.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

5. Rinks and Community Features

Glide allows users to add rinks to a shared database so others can find and join them. Rinks you add will be visible to all Glide users. Please only submit rinks you have first-hand knowledge of, and provide accurate information. We may edit or remove user-submitted rinks at our discretion.

6. Privacy

Your use of Glide is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information about you.

7. Intellectual Property

The Glide name, logo, app design, and all related software, graphics, and text are owned by Glide or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Glide name or marks without our prior written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

Glide relies on third-party services to operate, including database and authentication services (Supabase) and media storage (Cloudflare R2). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue any part of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glide and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You and Glide agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
